Leveraging a multi-cloud architecture

Proofminder is a fast-growing AI startup in the agriculture domain. They help growers with cutting-edge technologies to grow better food with confidence and meet production goals sustainably.

Among the many rewards Proofminder has received in recent years, one required special attention. They were rewarded with a significant amount of cloud credits on Google Cloud Platform. Finding the best way to utilize these credits without complicating life for either Proofminder or its customers was not straightforward.

We began assisting Proofminder in overcoming the challenges associated with scaling their specialized cloud deployment. Typical issues related to utilizing cloud elasticity were further complicated by domain-specific problems, such as handling large volumes of high-resolution orthophotos and GPU-intensive processing. This exercise gain larger scope when the use of GCP in addition to AWS became a necessity.

Although our solution was based on the motto 'keep it simple', complications were unavoidable. These challenges naturally arose as we expanded the system while balancing conflicting requirements such as efficiency, low network usage, single customer entry, and large dataset consistency. Our plan has proven successful, and we are excited to be part of the implementation.
